Your support helps fund the continued development, dissemination, and advocacy of this landmark process, ensuring culture has a seat at the table where climate decisions are made.
The Culture Global Stocktake for Climate Action (CGST) is a first-of-its-kind participatory policy process led by the Entertainment + Culture Pavilion (E+C), bringing together artists, Indigenous knowledge holders, cultural practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to close the persistent culture gap in global climate frameworks.
Modelled after the UNFCCC's Global Stocktake process, the CGST produces a unified policy document assessing how culture is already driving climate action - and where it needs greater recognition, resourcing, and integration. The resulting text will be presented at COP31 in Turkiyë, with a pathway toward the second Global Stocktake at COP33.
Since launching in early 2026, the CGST has engaged 1,000+ participants across virtual consultations, regional convenings, and the Marrakech Partnership Accelerator, with contributors spanning 80+ countries and backgrounds including film, music, heritage, community organising, policy, and beyond.
